Adult Individual Therapy

Sarah de la Roche, MACP, Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

What is Individual Therapy?

Individual therapy offers a confidential and non-judgemental space to meet one-on-one with a trained mental health professional. It offers a place to talk openly about your experiences, the challenges that you may be navigating, and work toward changes that feel important to you.

Downtown Office

Approach

My approach to therapy is grounded in openness, respect, and genuine human connection. I provide a non-judgemental, supportive space where you can explore your experiences, better understand yourself, and work toward meaningful change - whether that means processing emotions, building coping strategies, or strengthening your relationship with yourself and others.

Common areas explored in Therapy:

  • relationships & social connections

  • patterns in behaviours, thoughts, communication

  • identity & self concept

  • decision-making processes

  • coping mechanisms & responses to stress

  • attachment & emotional needs

  • values, desires, hopes

  • role of culture, society, and environmental factors

  • identity & sense of self

  • grief processes

  • meaning-making processes

  • boundaries & self-care

  • upbringing & family dynamics

  • navigating changes & unknown

  • identifying strengths & building skills

I practice from a relational, neurodiversity-affirming, and trauma-informed lens, meaning: the therapeutic relationship is central to the process, we work to recognize, embrace, and understand unique brain processes, and your concerns are viewed in the context of your lived experiences.
